The Indy Warblers: Getting the Band Back Together Again!
Some years back, Glasgow Pensioners for Indy formed the Indy Warblers. We had fiddlers, drummers, singers, poetry. And we’d all traipse along to gigs in local residential homes. We even wrote a new set of words for the tune Johnny Lad.
Those words have been updated and Warblers – old and new – have been rehearsing. Enjoy! And maybe have subtitles turned on for the updated 2026 lyrics ….including Starmer, Farage et al!
Best ways to support Pensioners for Independence
We are passionate supporters of Scottish independence. Currently we are running twice weekly stalls in Glagow City centre, and a fortnightly stall in Milngavie. Our Glasgow and Edinburgh Groups organise regular meetings with guest speakers. Get in touch, we are always happy to see new folk at our stalls and meetings.
